ABOUT MARK BRANDON
MARK BRANDON is a native Californian who grew up near the sea, enjoying surfing and scuba diving as a boy. During the Vietnam conflict, he served in the Strategic Air Command as a non-comissioned officer. After military service, he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Chapman College, in Orange, California.

Shortly after college, Mark became involved in the film and television industry where he has spent the past 25 years, working on both sides of the camera. In 1989, he immigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia to become involved in the city's fast growing film industry. Besides having done a combined 100 commercials, films and series as an actor, Mark has also worked as a casting director and producer. This "both sides" of the camera perspective has given him enormous insights into how to help actors have better auditions. He wrote a book about it, explaining a number of critical factors in, Winning Auditions - 101 Strategies for Actors (Amadeus Press 2005).

Mark's passion for the craft of acting is equally matched by his passion for teaching it. He runs his own workshops, assisting theatre actors in making the transition from stage to camera. He currently teaches in Vancouver and Los Angeles.

His favorite quote is, "None of us is as smart as all of us." For him, it characterizes the highly collaborative nature of the film industry. Additionally, it reminds us all that absolutely everyone has moments of brilliance.

Mark continues to do what he loves. He writes, teaches, and acts in TV series and films. Presently, he lives with his beautiful wife Joanne, on a hill overlooking the ocean in the quiet Canadian beach town of White Rock. Their favorite pastime together is exploring cities of the world.
